Chinese Sports Brand Breaks into the World Market
Peak Shoes has recently signed a contract with FIBA (Federal International Basketball Association), making them the official sponsor of the group’s Asia branch. They are competing with similar brands such as Tsingtao and Lining in trying to get a lion’s share of the international sports market.
This Chinese company is the first to produce large-sized shoes, making it more attractive to basketball groups whose players wear shoes of this size. This is why Peak was also chosen as the partner of the WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) in America.
2005 signaled the brand’s breakthrough to the European market, when they first sponsored the All Star Games of the FIBA Basketball European League. They have been the league’s sponsor ever since. Xu Zhihua, the brand’s manager, is confident that Peak will continue becoming more popular and will earn the trust and loyalty of customers around the world.
He is confident that he will succeed amidst the fierce competition. Not only do they have to contend against popular Chinese brands, but they are also up against the already established brands including Puma and Nike. On the other hand, it also means more high quality footwear for shoe lovers like you and me as shoe brands will do their best to reel in more customers.
Only time will tell if this brand will be able to sustain its hype, but Peak Shoes teaming up with FIBA will be a huge help in forwarding its cause.
